Our Review Process: How We Rate Online Blackjack Sites
Anyone can slap a five-star rating on a casino and collect a commission. We do the opposite. Every site we recommend gets played, deposited into, cashed out of and stress-tested by real gamblers on real-money accounts before we say a word about it. This page walks you through exactly what that means, so you know our rankings are earned, not bought.

Our reviews are led by Jarred W., who works out of New Jersey and can legally access nearly every regulated blackjack site in the country. He has personally tested more than 50 online blackjack sites, and he does not cut corners.
We do not evaluate sites from the outside looking in. We become customers. For every operator, we complete the entire player journey ourselves, in the same order a new player would.

We Sign Up
We create a brand-new account from scratch and pay close attention to how smooth, or painful, the process is. How much information does the site demand? How long does identity verification take? Are there hidden hoops? A clunky sign-up is often the first sign of a site that does not respect its players’ time.

We Deposit Real Money
We fund the account with our own money and test the deposit options the site offers. We note which payment methods work, how fast the money lands, whether there are fees and whether any deposits get declined or flagged for no good reason.

We Claim a Bonus
We claim whatever welcome offer the site is promoting, then we actually read the fine print. Wagering requirements, game weighting, time limits, maximum cashout caps and whether blackjack even counts toward clearing the bonus. Plenty of huge-sounding bonuses are close to worthless for blackjack players once you read the terms.

We Play Every Blackjack Game
We sit down and play through the site’s full blackjack offering. We check the things that actually change the odds, like whether the game pays 3:2 or the much worse 6:5 on a natural, how many decks are in the shoe, and whether you can double after a split.

We Play the Live Dealer Tables
When a site offers live dealer blackjack, we play it. We evaluate the streaming quality, the professionalism of the dealers, table limits, how many tables are available and whether the experience actually feels like sitting at a real table.

We Contact Support
We reach out to customer support with real questions to see how they handle it. Is live chat actually staffed, or is it a bot that loops you in circles? How long is the wait? We test more than one channel when they exist, including email and phone.

We Withdraw
Finally, and most importantly, we cash out. We request a withdrawal and time exactly how long it takes for the money to reach us. Nothing tells you more about a site than how it behaves when you try to leave with your winnings, and this is the single step that separates the sites we trust from the ones we do not.

Once a site has been through the full journey, we score it across every factor that actually affects your experience as a blackjack player. The things we weigh include:
- Sign-up process: how quick and painless it is to get an account open and verified.
- States accepted: exactly where the site is legal and who it can take.
- Deposit options and ease: the range of payment methods and how reliably they work.
- Bonus terms and amount: not just the headline number, but whether the terms are blackjack-friendly.
- Blackjack game selection: the variety, rules, stakes and software quality of the tables.
- Live dealer blackjack: availability, stream quality, dealers and table limits.
- Customer support: responsiveness, availability and whether they are actually helpful.
- Withdrawal options: how many cashout methods you get and how flexible they are.
- Payout speed: how fast we actually got our money, measured firsthand.
- Fun factor: the intangible one. Did we enjoy playing here, or was it a chore?
- Mobile play: how well the site performs on a phone, through an app or the browser.
How We Turn All of That Into a Ranking
No single factor decides a site’s spot on our list. A generous bonus does not save a site that pays out slowly, and lightning-fast withdrawals do not make up for a thin, badly built blackjack lobby. We weigh everything together, with the most weight going to the things that hurt players most when they go wrong: getting paid, game fairness and whether the site actually accepts you in your state. A site that fails on any one of them, no matter how flashy everything else looks, does not make our recommended list at all.
We also weigh who a site is right for. The best option for a high-stakes live dealer player is not always the best option for someone making a small first deposit to try the game out. Where it helps, we tell you which type of player a site suits best, instead of pretending one size fits everyone.

We Keep Testing
A review is not a one-and-done. Sites change their rules, swap their software, adjust their bonuses and speed up or slow down their payouts over time. States change their laws. We revisit the sites we recommend to make sure our ratings still reflect reality, and if a site slips, its ranking slips with it. The goal is simple: when you use our list, you are getting our honest, current, firsthand read on where you should be playing.
