HARRISBURG, Pa. – Pennsylvania’s online table games won $47,426,563 in July, a 2.2% drop from a year earlier, while the state’s online slots gained 12.41%, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Wednesday.
Slots Took All Of The Growth, And More
Pennsylvania’s online casinos won $249,007,485 in July, up 9.09% from the $228,258,244 they won in July 2025, the Gaming Control Board reported. Every dollar of that increase came from the machines, and then some. Online slots added $21,997,556 year over year to reach $199,243,118, while online table games gave back $1,068,432 and online poker fell 7.14% to $2,337,804.
Table Games’ Share Slipped To 19% From 21.2%
Dealt games took 19% of Pennsylvania’s online casino revenue in July, down from 21.2% in the same month a year earlier. They remain the second-largest online product in the state by a wide margin, and they are where the legal Pennsylvania online blackjack market lives.
Two Casinos Produced 77% Of Online Table Revenue
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course won $21,387,788 at online tables in July and Valley Forge Casino Resort won $15,330,508. Together they took $36,718,296, or 77.4% of every online table dollar in the state.
The gap to third place is wide. Rivers Casino Philadelphia won $4,573,420 at online tables, Harrah’s Philadelphia $2,351,932 and Presque Isle Downs and Casino $1,243,242. At the bottom of the list, Wind Creek Bethlehem’s online tables produced $2,838 for the entire month.
Each operator sets its own stakes, seat counts and live dealer online blackjack lineup. In a market this concentrated, most online table play in Pennsylvania happens inside two lobbies.
A Slot Dollar Is Worth About 12 Blackjack Dollars
The split is arithmetic before it is preference. A six-deck blackjack game with the dealer standing on soft 17, doubling allowed on any two cards and after splits, late surrender offered and naturals paying 3:2, played to perfect basic strategy, carries a house edge of about 0.34%. Half a percent is the rounded working figure for any good blackjack game. An online slot holds roughly 6%, within a practical range of about 2% to 10% depending on the game’s return to player.
House edge is the gap between how often an outcome actually happens and what the game pays when it does. On blackjack that gap is nearly nothing, which is precisely why the game returns so little revenue per dollar wagered. At the same stake, one slot spin is worth on the order of a dozen blackjack hands to the operator.
The economics hold wherever legal online blackjack is offered, and Pennsylvania is one of the states whose regulator reports the online table number separately from slots.
That separation also marks the limit of what the July figures prove. The board reports win rather than the amount wagered, and it publishes handle only for sports betting, where July’s total was $509,536,348. A 2.2% decline in online table revenue is a decline in what the house kept. It is not, on its own, evidence that fewer hands were dealt.
Mount Airy Quit Internet Gaming, Two Others Shrank
Mount Airy stopped offering internet gaming during July and reported no online revenue for the month, against $2,756,903 in July 2025. Live! Casino Philadelphia’s online revenue fell 67.04% to $1,674,140, and Wind Creek Bethlehem’s fell 72.28% to $572,443.
The growth went to operators already carrying the market. Bally’s Pennsylvania raised online revenue 65.58% to $5,532,900, Harrah’s Philadelphia 40.01% to $14,658,318 and Hollywood Casino at Penn National 10.48% to $97,040,395, the largest online figure of any casino in the state.
Eleven Pennsylvania casinos reported online revenue in July, one fewer than a year earlier.
